Amanda Edwards, LPC-S

Welcome! I am Amy, a dedicated therapist passionate about helping individuals navigate life's complexities and reconnect with their authentic selves. My approach is deeply rooted in understanding the profound connection between the mind and the body, allowing me to support clients on a holistic journey toward healing and growth.
Education & Professional Focus
I earned Master of Science in Counseling in 2016, from Northeastern State University.
In my practice, I specialize in somatic and trauma work, helping clients process experiences that are often held deeply within the body. I provide a safe, affirming, and neurodiversity-celebrating space. My clinical focus includes working with individuals experiencing:
- Autism and ADHD (Neurodivergence)
- Trauma and PTSD
- Anxiety and Depression
- Sexual issues and intimacy concerns
- Alternative lifestyles (including LGBTQIA+, kink, and non-monogamous dynamics)
- Alternative or non-traditional belief systems
Community & Personal Life
Deeply invested in advocacy and social connection, I actively volunteer within the community. I proudly support and collaborate with several local organizations, including TahlEquality, the Intercultural Partnership Council of Cherokee County, and Ember OK, working to foster inclusivity, equity, and support for diverse populations.
When I am not in the therapy room or volunteering, you can find me channeling my creativity into writing and working on independent film projects. I also love exploring collaborative storytelling and strategy as an avid Dungeons & Dragons player.
Whether you are looking to heal from past wounds, navigate a major life transition, or better understand your unique mind, I am here to walk alongside you.
